Fox Machine formed in Gothenburg, Sweden in 2008, played the local club circuit for a year and wrote songs in front of fireplaces. After their acclaimed performance at Way Out West festival 2009 in their hometown, the band joined fellow-Swedes The Soundtrack of our Lives as special guests for their Germany tour in November of the same year.
Their debut single "When I Was Young", recorded at Chez Chérie studio in Berlin, was released by Dolores Recordings in February 2010 on 7" vinyl in a limited edition of 300 copies.
Fox Machine contributed the westcoast ballad "Frank Lloyd Was Wright" to the compilation album "The Göteborg String Theory" which was released by Kning Disk in April 2010. The song was recorded with a string orchestra during an experimental art-music-workshop which took place in June 2009 at Kokokaka filmstudio in Göteborg.
Fox Machine's first long-play album "Songs from a Sea House" was released May 9th 2011. Produced by Fox Machine, with a little help from their friends Joel Eriksson (Similou), Björn Synneby (Pacific!) and Nackt (Warren Suicide), mixed by Mattias Glavå (Dungen, Anna Järvinen) and Moses Schneider (Beatsteaks, Tocotronic).
The new single "The One I Used To Know" is available from December 20th 2012.
